Step 1
Prerequisites
  • A computer with 7-Zip installed → https://www.7-zip.org
  • A USB stick of at least 32 GB, formatted in FAT32
  • A fast and stable internet connection
Step 2
File download
  1. The downloaded file is at format .zip.
  2. Save it in a folder that is easily accessible (for example : Desktop).
Step 3
Decompression of the archive
  1. Right-click on the .zip downloaded.
  2. Select 7-Zip → Extract here.
  3. Please wait until the extraction is complete (the total size may reach several gigabytes).
Step 4
Preparing the USB stick
  1. Plug the USB stick on your computer.
  2. Right-click on the stick → Format.
  3. Choose the file system FAT32, select Quick format, then click Start.
  4. Once the formatting is complete, open the USB stick : it must be empty.
Tip : if your USB drive is larger than 32 GB and Windows does not offer FAT32 formatting, use the official Renault tool :
Step 5
Copy the files on the USB stick
  1. Open the folder containing the extracted files.
  2. Select only the files (not the complete file).
  3. Right-click → Copy, then paste them at the root the USB flash drive (not in a sub-folder).
Step 6
Installation in the vehicle
  1. Start the vehicle and allow the engine to run for the duration of the update.
  2. Insert the USB key into a USB port of the Easylink.
  3. An update notification is displayed : click Yes.
  4. The installation takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
Important : do not turn off the ignition or remove the USB drive during the operation. A message will confirm the successful update at the end.
Step 7
After the update

In some cases, your vehicle may display a message of the type "Front radar to be checked" or do not any sound immediately after the update.

This is a normal behavior : the system EasyLink must perform a cycle of complete rest.

  • Lock the vehicle to a complete.
  • Let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  • After the restart, the message will disappear and the sound will work back again exactly as before.
Step 8
In case of issues

If the update fails, check :

  • The files are copied to the root the USB key.
  • The key is good formatted in FAT32.
  • The engine is running during the whole procedure.

If the problem persists, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
